I've just uploaded these:

<URL:ftp://ftp.torque.net/pub/parport/patch-2.2.1-1284-12843.gz>
(also available at <URL:http://www.cyberelk.demon.co.uk/parport/>)
IEEE1284 changes:
o Restored ridiculously long udelay in parport_negotiate, as it seems that
some HP printers don't respond even slightly within spec. I'm not
_sure_ that this is the reason; experts are investigating.
IEEE1284.3 changes:
o Put a comment at the top of parport_daisy.c explaining what the file is
for.
o Port-cloning (as a result of finding a multiplexor) attempts to be a
little more transparent than before. port->number is now unique again,
while parports with the same port->physport will differ in
port->muxport. (Got that? Good.)
Things will still break if we find a multiplexor, because parport_share
hasn't been told what to do about it yet. If someone who _has_ a
multiplexor would like to step forward and make an issue of this, I
invite them to do so, and also to tell me where they _got_ one from.
Have fun downloading.
Tim.
