I have been tearing my hair out trying to get pcd to load on my Shuttle
CDROM drive... it only worked when I decided to test the drive under DOS,
then rebooted with the CD still in the drive.
Is it really necessary for there to be a CD in the drive when pcd is loaded,
in order for pcd to detect the drive ? This is with kernel 2.0.36.
Apologies if this is off-topic for "parport", being more of a "paride"
issue.
