oh.. just used that because that was what it said in W95 (*eek*)

wow, yeah, that was it *jumps around a bit* changed the bios-settings, and
wham, now it works... *shakes head* which I would never have guessed,
since the whole stuff actually worked with the old kernel...
but thx a lot, plus I gotta say the step it made concerning performance is
amazing, throughput is much faster now....
btw, wouldn't it be a good idea to include this somewhere in the parport
documentation, or in ppa-documentation?
...just a suggestion, someone might read it *hint hint*
