I think parport_frob_control (port, PARPORT_CONTROL_DIRECTION, x) is okay
for that. The 'control' register may or may not actually exist, and where
it doesn't, its functionality can mostly be emulated.

There's currently no way for a high-level driver to know that the data
drivers _can_ be turned off, though. I guess that's another port->modes
thing (PARPORT_MODE_TRISTATE?).
