Hi,

I have got a syquest ezflyer 230 which works fine under linux
using paride/epat (thanks to this list and Tim especially).

On my KDE desktop I have created a device icon for the ezflyer
which uses /dev/pda1 and mount it to /ezflyer.

.. but it does not work unless I change the
/lib/modules/2.2.5/modules.dep file

there is a line
/lib/modules/2.2.5/misc/pd.o /lib/modules/2.2.5/misc/paride.o

which I have to change to
/lib/modules/2.2.5/misc/pd.o /lib/modules/2.2.5/misc/paride.o \
         /lib/modules/2.2.5/misc/epat.o

before a double-click on the ezflyer device icon works.

(same pbm with a normal modprobe)

Because of that I have to comment out the code in /etc/rc.d/boot
which runs depmod otherwise my changes get overwritten at every
boot.

Is there any work around that?

Ciao
Fred
