Ok. Update:
I went ahead and attempted to do this using the modules as LKMs. This way
I could insmod them after / was mount'ed. However, I have run into another
issue.
The modules load fine. But now when I attempt to mount the drive I get:
mount: the kernel does not recognize /dev/pda? as a block device
(maybe `insmod driver'?) **
** /dev/pda"?" is where I have tried various id #s including /dev/pda and
/dev/pda1.
The devices are present of course. I remade the first 3 using
/usr/src/linux/drivers/block/paride/mkd to which there was still no success
in what I was attempting.
I have a feeling this is a completely different issue than my first and
eagerly await any input on this subject. Thanks in advance.
Jim
