[PARPORT] xmms sound breakups when writing to zip

Hi,

I have an old-style 100MB Zip drive attached to the parallel port. It's all
cool except that xmms (mp3 player) suffers from breakups when I'm writing to
the zip drive (but reading has _almost_ no effect on quality).

I'm using EPP (but /proc/parport/0/hardware lists SPP and PS2 - hmmm).

Is the driver just holding some resource/disabling interrupts too long?

Cheers
