What is a realistic throughput to expect using EPP on Linux? We are
mostly interested in the incoming data rate, in a high-speed data
    acquisition
application. Would ECP help matters, or perhaps directly accessing the
    device registers?

Would using a PCI-based parallel interface improve matters? (Such as the
Lava board.) What other PCI parallel interfaces are well supported on
    Linux,
as it seems to be hard to find a Lava for sale here in Australia?
