Here's the situation. I have a P90 20M laptop that I'm trying to
install Linux onto. I can use the parport boot disks, or do an
ftp install. When it loads the second stage image, from either
RH 6.1 or 6.2, from the parport CD or via ftp, it puts up the
"Welcome, please register" screen, and then the computer LOCKS UP.
This did not happen with RH 6.0. Unfortunately, I gave away my 6.0
CD set when I got 6.1, so I can't just reinstall it (I bought a
bigger disk for the laptop). The laptop is an HP OmniBook 5000.
I'm going to try an ftp install of Mandrake 7.0. If none of that
works, I'm majorly hosed...
Thanks,
Arnold
