Hello all,
I've a HP CD-Writer 7200+ via parallel port and I would use it on Linux,
Red Hat 6.1 .
I've read all possible documentations, like CD-Writing-HOWTO, "Linux and
parallel port IDE devices", "Parallel Port ATAPI CD-R Information Page".
When I try to execute the command:
insmod paride
return to me the next error's messages:
/lib/modules/2.2.12-20/misc/paride.o: unresolved symbol
parport_register_device_R9b846d61
/lib/modules/2.2.12-20/misc/paride.o: unresolved symbol

parport_unregister_device_Re6842bfb
/lib/modules/2.2.12-20/misc/paride.o: unresolved symbol

My question is simple: why this???
I've wrong something???
I must install any particular modelus of Red Hat on my computer???
I've a PC, Compaq Deskpro EP Series K500 and the parallel port mode
setting in the BIOS is "Flexible".
Thank you for your help.
Alex.
