[PARPORT] Bidirectional Port

    Hello,
    i am having a PC with Linux-2.2.14-5.0(Redhat 6.2). HP LaserJet4ml is
    connected to it using parallel port, whose driver(parport_pc) is included
    in Kernel(not as a module). Now, i wanted to check whether this setup
    supports the bidirectional feature. If it doesnot, could you please tell
    me how to include the bidirectional feature to the kernel (or as a
    separate module).
    the intention is to know about the status of the printer and also to grab
    the pagecount information.
