hey tim, thanks for the reply.
unfortunetely, /proc/sys/kernel doesnt have a modprobe entry in it.
the directory permissions for kernel are:
dr-xr-xr-x
and if i chmod u+w kernel, it doesnt raise an error, but it also doesnt
change any permissions.
so i cant write the file myself it seems.
thanks for clearing up my confusion about /proc tho. i wonder why i cant
write to the kernel dir?
