I have tried with 2.4.2-ac9 and the behaviour is the same. I am attaching the
relevant portions of my syslog output for when I try to insmod first
pg and then, after failing, pcd. Note that pcd loads but does not allow
me to mount a filesystem, in that
mount /dev/pcd0 /mnt/cdrom -t iso9660 -o ro
fails although it does load various other modules (e.g. fat, vfat,
nls-iso8859-1 etc.)
before doing so. Note also that I have added several printks to the code in
both cases hence the extra lines in the output.
Thanks,
Richard
