I've forgotten to tell you that I've recieved an error message when I've
'make modules_install'; the last lines displayed after doing 'make
    modules_install' was something like that:
    'mkdir -p pcmcia; \
    find kernel -path '*/pcmcia/*' -name '*.o' | xargs -i -r ln -sf ../{} pc
    if [ -r System.map ]; then /sbin/depmod -ae -F System.map 2.4.4; fi
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/misc/windrvr.o
    depmod: do_mmap_Raa7d1a34
    depmod: bh_active_Rfff9d0a3
    depmod: tq_scheduler_Rd19e3e0b'

Is it possible this being the problem?

    Ronnie.
