I have the tape drive hooked-up and load the drivers to RedHat 7.1 with
    these commands:

    insmod parport
    insmod paride
    insmod epat
    insmod pt

and this is what gets added to my dmesg:

    paride: version 1.05 installed
paride: epat registered as protocol 0
pt: pt version 1.04, major 96
    pt0: epat 1.01, Shuttle EPAT chip c6 at 0x378, mode 5 (EPP-32), delay 1
pt0: HP COLORADO 5GBe, master, RO, blocksize 512, 2458 MB

    but when I try: tar -c -v -b64 -f /dev/pt0 /root/*

I get a partial file listing and then this error message:

tar: /dev/pt0: Wrote only 0 of 32768 bytes
tar: error is not recoverable: exiting now

What did I miss? I have been all over the docs and can't get this to work.

    Thanks in Advance
    Bill
