    hi!

    i have major problems to get my digital joystick working with parport. here are the relevant snips from dmesg

    Starting kswapd
    parport0: PC-style at 0x378 (0x778) [PCSPP(,...)]
    parport0: irq 7 detected
    Detected PS/2 Mouse Port.

    ttyS00 at 0x03f8 (irq = 4) is a 16550A
    ttyS01 at 0x02f8 (irq = 3) is a 16550A
    lp0: using parport0 (polling).
    db9.c: specified parport is not bidirectional
    block: 128 slots per queue, batch=32

    i have tried every possible setting in the bios, but db9 allways complains about non bidirectional parport :-(
    also, i don't understand way lp0 uses polling, when parport detected the irq.

    can anybody help me?
