    Hi,
Im trying to set up an HP colorado 5Gb on RedHat 8.0
When I try to do it the way that it is described in the HOW-TO
on this site, this is what i get:

    [root@localhost dmitriy]# /sbin/insmod parport
    Using
    /lib/modules/2.4.18-26.8.0/kernel/drivers/parport/parport.o
    [root@localhost dmitriy]# /sbin/insmod paride
    Using
    /lib/modules/2.4.18-26.8.0/kernel/drivers/block/paride/paride.o
    [root@localhost dmitriy]# /sbin/insmod epat
    Using
    /lib/modules/2.4.18-26.8.0/kernel/drivers/block/paride/epat.o
    [root@localhost dmitriy]# /sbin/insmod pt
    Using
    /lib/modules/2.4.18-26.8.0/kernel/drivers/block/paride/pt.o
    /lib/modules/2.4.18-26.8.0/kernel/drivers/block/paride/pt.o:
    init_module: Operation not permitted
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module
parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters.
You may find more information in syslog or the output
    from dmesg

here is the relevant dmesg output:

    paride: version 1.06 installed (parport)
paride: epat registered as protocol 0
pt: pt version 1.04, major 96
    epat_init_protopt0: Autoprobe failed
pt: No ATAPI tape drive detected

I tried, reconnecting the drive and cycling the power, but I
get the same result every time. Im am pretty sure the drive is
in working condition because it was used on a Windows machine
    before this.
I am probably just doing something wrong, or not doing
something I should - I have no clue.

    Any help would be appreciated.
