The long and the short of it:
I'm wanting to control my cd palyer with my Linux box. I have a schematic that
will convert the control-a1 (S-link) port to a 2-pin connector for the parallel
port. (one in, one out).
I have no idea how to go about writing a driver for this, or if there is code
out there I can leverage. The basics of the protocol are this: depending on
how long the line is held, it is either a 1, 0, or packet marker. The driver
will need to be able to send data as well as be able to cause an interrupt to
trigger if information is recieved (the state of the palyer may change,
including the end of a track, and the program needs to be notified)
Anyone out there with any ideas?
