[PARPORT] ValueStor problems

I'm trying to get a Western Digital Caviar attached to the parallel port
using the ValueStor external hard drive. I'm running 2.1.87 and version
2.1.85 of the module tools. From visual inspection, it looks like the
ValueStor has the OnSpec 26 chip. (It's labeled OnSpec 90C26-E.) Here
are the kernel messages I receive when I load the modules:

# insmod paride
paride: version 1.0 installed
# insmod on26
paride: on26 registered as protocol 0
# insmod pd -verbose=1
