I contacted Play a little over a year ago about the availablity of the
information to create a driver for Linux/Unix since all they were
supporting was Windoze. (My working group had purchased one and I was
impressed with it's functionality vs. price.) I received a single
sentence reply which stated that NO information for driver development
would be released. I think it is now obvious that Play intends to make
very little on the actual Snappy hardware, and make their money off of
software "upgrades". I started to use Numega and reverse engineer it to
develop a Linux driver, but I left that employer and lost access to the
Snappy.
I don't know if they have changed their policy or not.
