Hiya Grant,
Surely I can supply you with the info ;P
The version i am running of PARIDE is v1.03 ...and below is the
output from the insmod/modprobe with verbose flag active
modprobe pcd verbose=1 drive0=0x378,0
parport0: PC-style at 0x378, irq 7 [SPP,ECP,ECPPS2]
parport0: no IEEE-1284 device present.
pcd: pcd version 1.03, major 46, nice 0
pcd0: 0x378 is parport0

pcd0: Autoprobe failed
pcd: No CDrom drive found
As you can see...it finds something on major 46 mode 1 (if i _am_
reading this right) ...the dos version of bpck.sys is 2.12
..May prove useful if you have a success report to see if the dos driver
version is the same. I have also got the chipset on the laptop (National
Semiconductors i826 subset).
If you need any more info let me know, or have any pointers ;)
Regards,
Stef.
