I recently installed slackware, and I am trying to get my Iomega Zip to be
recognized by linux. I have recompiled my kernel (2.0.35) with ppa and
scsi support. When linux boots, its appears my zip is detected, yet the
partition type is unknown. I'm booting with a disk in the drive, and the
disk is a working msdos disk. I am unable to mount the disk for the same
reason, -t auto tells me unknown partition type... must specify. Any help
would be great. I'm including a portion of my dmesg output.
