Hello, I have read quite a bit
on the PPA drivers and such.
But I have compiled my kernel many times
with what the zip-mini howto told me,
and I keep getting this
scsi : 0 hosts.
scsi : detected total.
ppa: Version 1.41
ppa: Probing port 03bc
ppa: Probing port 0378
ppa: Probing port 0278
ppa: SPP port present
ppa: PS/2 bidirectional port present
ppa: EPP 1.9 with hardware direction protocol
scsi : 0 hosts.
(that is from dmesg when I tried to add it as a
loadable module)
and other times, when I said Y to the IOMEGA Parallel
Port Drive (under low-level scsi config)
I get pretty much the same thing.
The last few times after getting the latest ppa.tar.gz
I threw the ppa.c and ppa.h in the kernel drivers before compiling.
I tried both, built in the kernel (Y), and as a module.
None of those have worked.
I am running RedHat 5.1 with kernel version 2.0.35
I also downloaded your Redhat thingy, and tried that ,
no dice.
What is going wrong??
Am I missing something??
Thanks,
