None. The only reason we came up with TRAN was so that devices that didn't
want LURK had something to put in their flags. :-) It never had any actual
effect and it's always been #defined to 0.

It was originally short for "transient" - in other words, a driver that runs
for a certain time and then stops, rather than hanging around indefinitely.
