According to the details I can find the NCR 53C80 was used in some Macs.
I know that Grant has two drivers for the Adaptec Trantor interfaces.

If you can lay your hands on some technical info regarding how the NCR chip
is tied to the parallel port, this would be a big help. Perhaps the ParaSCSI is
really a Trantor in disguise.
