A fair volume of information passes through this list, any archive would be
large.

Must be three months since this question was asked. The last I heard was:
a) The company will NOT release any information (not even under a NDA)
b) The device only works under windows

The "window only" driver creates a bit of problems since it is impossible to
use DOSemu to reverse engineer the driver. The latest version of WINE
includes the ability to trace IO accesses.

The device will be using a custom protocol as opposed to IDE or SCSI where
certain sequences of bytes have special meanings (eg read and write
commands always have the same structure). This will complicate matters no
end, hence a VERY dedicated hacker will be required to crack the secrets of
this device.

Check http://www.torque.net/parport for all Linux
parallel port solutions.

Current project list:
a) Maintain Linux ZIP drivers (need to update docs)
b) Get to the bottom of rumors of a third ZIP interface
c) Create Linux chipset specific parport drivers

Any assistance to clearing this list most welcome
