vtgrab

 What is it?

This is a utility for monitoring the screen of another machine. It only works for text consoles: for X, the idea is to use VNC instead.

 What does it look like?

Just like you'd expect:

You can press control-A to get a menu, allowing you to switch virtual terminals on the target machine for example:

It even works for graphical consoles, by getting VNC to do the work (vncviewer is launched automatically):
