I've made an alternate bootdisk for RedHat 5.2. This disk contains
a modified installer, and drivers for 5 of most common types of
parallel port CD-ROMs.
To make room for the PARIDE drivers, the "legacy" CD-ROM drivers
(Mitsumi, Goldstar, etc.) have been removed. The menu for "other"
CD-ROMs contains 5 PARIDE options:
Freecom Power CD
Freecom IQ cable CD
Kingbyte based CD-ROMs
Microsolutions backpack CD
Shuttle EPAT based CD-ROMs
The Freecom IQ driver supports the new battery powered
"Traveller" CD-ROM.
It may be possible to add one or two other drivers, if a demand
appears.
The bootdisk can be found at

I will put some sort of information page on the parport web pages.
Any problems with the bootdisk should be directed to me, NOT to
the RedHat support staff.
