At this time, no it is not.
Work is going on behind the scenes to come up with new more general
drivers for the Shuttle and OnSpec parallel port SCSI adapters (and
others).
These new SCSI drivers should allow for SANE to support some of the
parallel port scanners out there, including the HP5100.
Announcements will be made to this list as soon as something is
ready. Expect these drivers to require a 2.2 kernel, or better.
