Subject: ieee 1284
Hello Philip,
i have an ieee 1284 printer, Dataproducts LZR 888, but even if I set the
IEEE1284 option in the kernel, at boot time I have this message:
parport0: PC-style at 0x378 [SPP,ECP,ECPPS2]
parport0: no IEEE-1284 device present.
I printed the printer self test and I verified the port status as
IEEE1284 type.
I'm wondering if I set other parameters, or if I need of a special
cable.
thanks in advance,
Fausto
