Hi,
I was a bit too busy since Xmas because I had a
computer upgrade (I decided I'd be interested in
an Acer 711TE) and I've mixed feelings about this
decision) and I moved to the 2.2.x kernel.
Everything seems to be fine, except that my
paralell port seems to support SPP, ECP and ECPPS2
and the only mode it seems to use with
parport+paride+epat+pd is SPP, which is so
extremely slow!!!
Is there any way to force any 8 bit mode.
When I use the low level utilities in DOZe mode,
it goes into an 8 bit transfer mode whihc is quite
fast.
Cheers,
