Such a thing does exist, though it has taken me several days to remember
were I got it from. However most parallel port drivers for Windows 95
appear to clobber the lpt.vxd and then talk directly to the hardware,
making the utility useless.

If you want to try it, it can be downloaded from sysinternals site at

    http://www.sysinternals.com/

where they have all sorts of interesting utilities.
