[PARPORT] Pb with ppa? Iomega? parport?

Hi everybody,
here is probably a recurent message and I apologize for it, but I am new here
and I didn't find any answer relatively to this problem in the historical or
current messages of the list...

The kernel I have compiled is 2.2.3-ac4-4. My aim is to share the unique
parallel port that I have in my PC, between the PRINTER and the IOMEGA ZIP.
I guess that parport is convenient for that, and that I will not have to rmmod
lp, insmod ppa, and so one.... I guess that the sharing will be automatic; am I
right?

I tried Parport as Module and now it is integrated into the kernel, but
this implies no difference with my problem.(relative to this subject, lilo
doesn't accept any "parport=0x378,7" line, as it is recommended into
parport.txt....does anybody has an explanation please?)

ppa and printer are integrated as Modules.(I didn't use the 16bits
option(slower one).

I've constructed a RAMDISK, so ppa is starting up during the boot processus.

No problem with the printer, as soon as I have choosen /dev/lp0 in
/etc/printcap.

the problem comes with ppa which seems to recognize my iomega zip, but is not
able to attribute one partition to the disk....
It worked fine when I was under 2.0.36, but parport was not here!!

I suppose that the best is to show you the desmg that I got; it is a little bit
long, but it will precise my configuration, and so you perhaps will be able to
help me. Thanks for that.
