Does that mean that the parport is now by default in PS/2
mode (if available, SPP otherwise), and the parport EPP/ECP functions
change it when they need and change it back to PS/2 before they
return?
I've implemented this behaviour in my toy usermode implementation,
and it makes using the parport routines significantly easier
for the higher level drivers...
