UPDATE: I meant to say unresolved symbol instead of signal.....also...could
it be that I need to do an insmod parport before I do the insmod paride??
Just a thought.

Subject: hp 7200e implementation problems...

I'm using Mandrake Linux 6.0 and have been having a heck of a time getting
my hp 7200e drive to work for me. Firstly, let me give you some background
on my hardware/configuration. I'm using a Dell PII 400 machine, the printer
port has been set to EPP in the bios. The kernel of Mandrake 6.0 is
2.2.9-19mdk.

I have compiled paride support into the kernel and have followed the
instructions word for word. I attempted to do an insmod paride to get things
underway..I end up getting this list of paths and files all giving the
error: unresolved signal. Now if I do a modprobe paride everything seems to
initialize. But doing a modprobe pg detects no device.

Can anyone help me? Or is there detailed documentation available that could
help me out?

Thanks for your help...
