Hi,
I am trying to write a driver for the parallel
port using ECP FIFO MODE.
I read in the "Extended Capabilities Port:Specifications" Revision 1.06
that ,when using ECP FIFO Mode,writing in the ecpAFifo or the ecpDFifo
registers will make the hardware transmit bytes from these registers to
the peripheral "automatically".I would like to know how this automatical
negotiation is made.I am interesting in knowing how exactly
the handshaking from the hardware of the parport to the peripheral is
made and reverse in the above case.Does anyone know something about this
or do you know where i have to look for finding some informations?
