There is seldom interface documentation about low cost parport
or USB scanners available from the manufacturers. They are usually
very primitive, and do not even contain a microcontroller that manages
stepper motors, the lamp etc, everything has to be done by the host!
If you're lucky, your scanner contains a LM9830 single chip scanner
IC, then you might be able to use national's IC docs...
