Hi,

I am having trouble accessing a zip drive under linux. OK, I'm definitely
not very experienced with linux, but judging from the straightforward
installation descriptions, I might have a general problem.

I have 2 EIDE hard disks and a HP SCSI scanner, which is connected to a
Symbios Logic controller.

I use SuSE 6.3, kernel 2.2.13

I followed the HowTo's.

Via xconfig I reconfigured the kernel:

SCSI support = y
SCSI disk support = y
IOMEGA parallel port (ppa - older drivers) = m
IOMEGA parallel port (imm - newer drivers) = m
Force the Iomega ZIP drivers to use EPP-16 = n
Parallel printer support = m

when I try insmod, I get the following:

isnmod imm
Using /lib/modules/2.2.13/scsi/imm.o
/lib/modules/2.2.13/scsi/imm.o: unresolved symbol parport_unregister_device
/lib/modules/2.2.13/scsi/imm.o: unresolved symbol parport_enumerate
/lib/modules/2.2.13/scsi/imm.o: unresolved symbol parport_register_device
/lib/modules/2.2.13/scsi/imm.o: unresolved symbol parport_claim
/lib/modules/2.2.13/scsi/imm.o: unresolved symbol parport_release

insmod ppa
Using /lib/modules/2.2.13/scsi/ppa.o
/lib/modules/2.2.13/scsi/ppa.o: unresolved symbol parport_unregister_device
/lib/modules/2.2.13/scsi/ppa.o: unresolved symbol parport_enumerate
