[PARPORT] EPEZ Drive Problems

Hi, I have recently bought an external enclosure for a HDD. This uses the
shuttle tech EPEZ chipset and connects on and ECP parrallel port (my laptop
only supports ECP or Std. Bi-Direct but the results are the same using
either mode) running RedHat 6.0 (Kernel 2.2.5). The drive functions
corretly in the enclosure under DOS and Windows. The problem is is that it
isn't reading the drive geometry correctly.
The drive succesfully completed a low-level format in another computer and
is corretly partitioned and formated. Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks.

Below is the output from the modules:

[[root@laptop misc]# modprobe epat.o
paride: version 1.04 installed
paride: epat registered as protocol 0
[[root@laptop misc]# insmod pd drive0=0x378,0
pd: pd version 1.05, major 45, cluster 64, nice 0

end_request: I/O error, dev 2d:00 (PD), sector 0

If I increase the delay to 50 the geometry and model name is correct but the
results are the same. Here is the output:

[[root@laptop misc]# insmod pd drive0=0x378,0,0,0,-1,0,1,50
