ppSCSI and ppdev are different things. You might want to see if
patch-2.2.13-ppSCSI-19990712.gz will patch the 2.2.14 kernel. I am using
RH 6.1 with 2.2.12-20 and it was able to be patched with this
patch. That's the only ppSCSI patch that I see for the production kernel
series which is newer than the one that you tried.
