    hey all,
its matt again with my amazing parport problems...
ok so i think (well know really) that ive done something stupid.
when i cated the asci files in question i found that i had written a
message to them, while trying to get something to print...
    eg: echo "hello" > /dev/lp0

    maybe i tried > /dev/parport
and then forgot the /dev bit? would this have trashed the files?
ok, so should there be other files there instead? and if so, i guess ill
have to recompile the modules again. is there a way i can just recompile
    the modules that i want.

also, with regards to a previous question: why are these modules being
loaded at boot, when i specified that they should be part of the kernal?

    thanks for any help!
    matt
