    Tim,
since I subscribe to parport & and sent 2 posts,
I have recieved these strange emails that apparently originate in Italy and
claim to have detected a worm and include an attachment which I refuse to
    open.

They are sent to me and to you. Maybe others can report if only to Majordomo
if this is happening to them as well.

    Just a warning.
I have no idea what they are all about, but what I do know is that I am only
posting flat emails without any attachments, but I noticed that your
responses to me came in as attachments.
So I did not open these but rather went to the parport archive and read your
    response as an email-web page.

If you have the time let me know if my emails come to you as attachments.
This is not helpful that the translation between some email systems end up
as attachments. I think that increases the possibilities of infections, but
    I am not sure.

This is just a bad period for using the internet and one can't be too
    careful.

again thanks for your help on the cdrom,
though it looks like I am just going to go get an internal.
This parport thing is just too complicated.
    dselect is hard enough!
