I swithed to SPP, and then cdrecord can see my cdr on the SCSI bus, with correct
identification. I haven't tried to burn a CD yet, but I don't see why it couldn't
    run now.
    Much thanks !

But then I have a problem, as I would like to have my printer in serie with my
external CDR, but when the bios is not in EPP mode, there is hardware problems,
the PC freeze, and then become unable to reboot, unless I open the box, take out
some cards and IDE connectors, boot then halt, and put all back (without the
printer on parallel port). The printer is a cannon BJC 2000. I haven't tried with
the two parallel devices in serie, but before I try, does someone know about my
kind of problem and how to overcome it ?
