[PARPORT] HP 7200 under Red Hat 6.2

I want to burn CDs from Linux using an HP 7200. I have been reading
various sources of info and I am more confused than ever. Can all of the
necessary drivers, etc. be loaded dynamically rather than building a new
kernel? I am using the stock Red Hat 6.2 Kernel 2.2.14-5.0. I have
loaded various modules with insmod but have so far been unable to access
my HP 7200 using either pcd0 or scd0. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
