I've checked the parport sources for the 2.4.0-test kernels, too. For mode
0, the code really conforms your findings, but for mode 4 (nibble+device
ID request) it does not. Anyway, I've changed my code to force the
negotiation, but the following read found just nothing... Or isn't the
read protocol described on http://www.fapo.com/nibble.htm right?
