[PARPORT] HP CD Writer PLus 7500 series

    Hi ,
    I have connected this CD Writer on the parallel port of the Kayak XU800
    machine.
    I have installed Red Hat Linux 6.2 (Kernel 2.2.14-5.0smp).
    I am sure this drive is a Parallel port SCSI device.
    How can I access this device?
    The dmesg file does not show that the device detected the hardware.
    Should I install any drivers for this device?
    Please help me.
