    Hello All,
My first attempt to write a CD (CD to CD copy) under Linux failed. I
have been using my HP 7200 under Window$ for more than a year without
any problem. (That is (I want to put a `was' here, please read on) my
    only use of Windows :-).

I was using cdrecord with gcombust at the front-end. But the cd writing
was aborted in about a minute. Search of the Internet (specially mailing
list archives) revealed that some people have experienced similar
problems. But none of the archives gave a precise solution to this.

So, all the gurus out there, can you save me wasting a CD everytime I
    try it? Humbly waiting.

Log is as follows. Output from dmesg and lsmod are attached in case you
    need them too.
