I'm trying to install Redhat 7.0 on a toshiba 486dx4-75 laptop with a
microsolutions backpack parallel port cd-rom using the paride boot disk and
I am receiving this error. /tmp/pcd.o init_module: Device or resource busy.
I have looked through the archive and found some helpful notes but did not
really find anything specific about this. Is this a irq or address issue?
The bios on the laptop has several settings for the parallel port. Ecp and
bi-directional along with different addresses. The documentation says use
ecp when possible. I tried using both of these settings along with the
different addresses with no luck. Also I know that you can specify module
parameters during the install but I did not see anything for irq. What's
the syntax to change the irq or does the driver's autoprobe scan all irq's
for the parallel port device? Any help on this install?
