    Hello,

I was looking in the internet a solution for my "printer problem"
but I still did not find it.
I print nothing even I try directly to the printer port

                cat /etc/hosts >/dev/lp0

        The printer does nothing !!!
Parallel support an PC-Style are compiled as modules in my kernel
    (2.2.16).
If I load the modules with the insmod command:

            insmod parport
            insmod parport_pc
            insmod parport_probe
            insmod lp

I get the follwing messages (with the dmesg command):

            parport0: PC-style at 0x378 [SPP,EPP,ECPEPP]
            parport0: Printer, Lexmark Z42
            lp0: using parport0 (polling)

After this, if I try to print again ...... nothing new !! it does
not print anything !! but there are no error messages !!

        May irq be the problem?

               # cat /proc/parport/0/irq
                  none

I force in the /etc/modules.conf to use irq=7 and several io
    addresses but nothing changed !!!
Please, if you don't mind help me !!!!!

Thank you very much and Best Regards.

                                    Pablo Delgado.
