I am worried about the SuperIO 'cold-call' probes (the ones that
aren't triggered by PCI IDs). I've heard the first report that they
are responsible for a machine lock-up..

Gunther, once the ACPI/PnP stuff is stable and in the mainstream
kernel, the old SuperIO stuff can come out, can't it?
